Macbook Monitor Washout?

Earlier today I was downloading some game demos and played a few. While I was playing I had a slight problem and had to force quit, but before i did i hit quite a few hot keys and i don't remember which but my voice over software was turned on and now when ever i turn my computer on the screen is washed out. The only way to fix it is by starting a game and quitting it.

Did you remove the demo?

No it was because some how i changed my contrast in my settings using hot keys. Some how i missed that setting.
