Graphics work display suggestions.

I have a macbook and I am looking for a secondary display to use for graphics work.

I find the screen on the macbook to be totally rubbish - its viewing angle is terrible and its way to small.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest me a good widescreen display that would have good colour / veiwing angle / sharpness etc thats good for graphics work.

Also is there anything I need to know about using a second display with a macbook? Is the little laptop up to the task?

Can it support high resolutions?
