Bose speakers not working

I have the Bose Series 2 Companion 2 speakers. All of the sudden, the speakers stop working. My headphone jack is working because I used it to test it out. The System Preferences can detect something in my Headphone jack but no sound comes out from the speakers..is there something wrong with my speakers?

Try testing the speakers using an ipod or cd player or plugin headphones to your mac.
