The issue I'm having with my MBA after 10.5.4 update is that intermittently the cursor becomes very jumpy, for example: when moving it from left side of the screen to the right, it jumps directly to the right. Very annoying. Since the issue is intermittent I don't think it has anything to do with mouse speed or anything. The issue can happen with both the trackpad and bluetooth mighty mouse.
I'm running a MBA standard config with 10.5.4.
Any ideas?
Hmm, seems that the issue might be due to a core shutdowns... Is this what a core shutdown looks like?
Would have been easier if the Activity Monitor was sorted in descending order based on the % of CPU use.

Yes, that's a core shutdown.

I imagine so. I get jumpy cursors in warm weather quite a lot, especially when the fan whirring like a demented hamster.

Yeah, my friend has to keep his air in an air conditioned room if he wants to continously use it without the core shutting down
