Command-Delete does not work

I cannot delete files from Finder with "Command-Delete". I know that my Command and Delete keys work fine separately. Do I need to change anything in my preferences? Thanks so much for your help.

I have this same problem

I USED to be able to delete things from the finder with command + delete on Mac OSX 10.5, but just today I have been unable to do so all day long.
Does anyone have any idea what happened?

Does repairing permissions fix it?

Is that the ONLY command key function that's not working?

Start Keyboard Viewer and check to see what keys OS X thinks you're depressing.
