I bought a retail Apple Care box from local store about 6 months ago for my iPod. Set it on my desk and forgot about it. Now warranty is gone on iPod. Can I activate Apple Care when a product it out of factory 1 year or should I just sell the AC box?

You have 1 year from the date you purchased your iPod to activate AppleCare (not buy it) on that iPod. If your iPod is now over 1 year old you cannot activate AppleCare.

I was afraid of that. That will teach me to put stuff aside and forget about it./
