Transferring from old Macbook Pro

Just got my air and it is taken so far 4 hours and counting to transfer wirelessly 7.8gb of files over from my old laptop. Is this normal?

I never did a transfer from my MBP to Air. Just moved my music folder via USB.

my first gen MBP seems to have shocking wireless transfer speeds, because on a normal network it should go a bit faster than that...

Well it is all done and took about 5 hours. I am glad because now I finally get to use my new toy...wait now it needs software updates...wait some more I guess:o

Well it is all done and so far I am loving this thing! All of my worries about it being too slow, running hot, core shutdowns have all been laid to rest. The battery life is great so far too!
