ok, im sellin my ipod, and to sweeten the deal im wonering if i could format the entire thing, then put all my mp3s and videos on it as refular files that the buyer could transfer to their itunes and ultimately back into the ipod. this doable?

That sounds illegal to me... probably because it is. You can't sell copies of your music even if you are selling them on a music player (iPod in this case). If the person wants illegally obtained music, I'm sure that they will be able to find it on their own.
