So you decided to ditch the CG smoke cat? Was it not going to work?

well, it works...I got it to work...it's just that, the drawn one in the animatic looks really cool. did you check it out?
a lot of it is the expressiveness of the quick and dirty lines...I dig it. Also, I wont go insane rendering and re-rendering.
I may use it for perspective guidance, but not for the smoke. sad really, I spent way too much time getting it to work. Oh well....

wow, I really like what I see so far, though it doesn't play smoothly, the frames are slow. Is that because it is incomplete or could that be a quicktime problem?

hehe.
that's because it isnt animated yet. ;)
that's just the animatic, which is a rough layout of the action. that way I can work out the timing, etc before doing all the animation. it's easier to change things BEFORE they're done ;)
I start animating soon....VERY soon.
