It'll be great, I'm getting 20 of my buds, and planning on Highjacking the Channel with 60 seconds of "1984" Seriously though, that'd be kinda cool

Pipian, where do you have that info from?

From what I know (and read) the ad was shown to Apple's board of directions in December 1983. They absolutely hated it, but since Apple had already paid quite a lot of money for it, they decided to use it anyways. It was aired for the first time during Super Bowl in January 1984.

Originally, the spot was written for the Apple II, but was later re-written for the Macintosh.
