I lost my code for Halo. I'm bored to death of playing the demo version and I want to play the full version. Is there a way to extract the code from the disk, buy a new code or even buy a new copy of halo? I'm pissed that I paid $20 for this thing and can't even play it anymore! Amazon lists it for $100!!! No way in hell is a $20 game worth that much.

Yes, this is a REAL CD, not a pirate.

you could find a serial on a torrent or crack site (it should be legal since you own the game, im not too sure...) or else get a code from a friend if they have halo. If you get it off a friend be careful though because you can't play LAN games with anyone who has the same code as you.

The torrent/crack codes only work for the old version, this is the UB newer version.

you can get universal binary serials on the web. Trust me, i know... ;)
(my key is legit by the way)

Such as where? "The web" is a very general place...

I'm not asking to pirate anything. If thats your method then I don't want it.

He means using one from the web isn't legal, not that his key isn't legal. ;)

hopefully the answer is in this thread.

Otherwise - yes google is your friend.

Ah I see. I've always been of the school of thought that says if I paid money for it, then I'm free to do whatever to get it running. My Worms Armageddon (PC) CD wouldn't install (not even a scratch) so I downloaded that on torrent. Similarly me and a friend went half on a PC game many years back so one of us had to use a no-CD crack.

You paid for the game OP, do whatever you need to get it running :)

That IS stealing/piracy in that case. You paid once and got the game twice :o
