I never really tried or thought about this, but can you lightscribe a disc, before you burn the data to it?

I have always just lightscribed after the burn. Anyone know?

It doesn't matter. I've done the label first. The only consideration is if the data/music/movies you burn don't work for some reason, you wasted the 20 minute Lightscribe time.
But it works fine either way.

Yeah. I have a ton of LS discs here at work, and I don't have the data I'm going to burn since it's at home so I can just let them LS here while I'm doing work, and then take them home and burn them.

Thanks for the input.

That's the same situation I had. Lots of discs, so it just made sense to LS them all first because burning the data was much faster.
Happy Lightscribing!
