How long before the iphone is available on other carriers UK especially

I was wondering how long the various carriers will have exclusivity deals for?

O2 in UK etc

I am a vodoaphone customer in UK

O2 still have exclusive rights of the iPhone, I was also Vodafone. Ditched them this week 😉 No other carrier will be getting rights anytime soon as far as I know

I think it was a 2 year deal when it started out... but that doesn't mean they will use other carriers when this time is up.

Given the fact that Apple re jigged its iphone business model to bring it in line with all the other major manufacturers surely Apple would be foolish to continue with exclusive carrier deals, after all the likes of nokia etc dont put all there eggs in one basket.
