Have fun, Warhay. Among Apple stores in Southern California, it's one of the best places to hang out or wait in line, at least in daytime or evening hours. I've been to a few Apple events there and it was always lively. Probably not as lively at 4am. If you'll be online, let us know what the line is like when you get there.

Im thinking of getting there at 5am but im still not sure which one to go to. Is anybody else having this problem, we have about 4 in close proximity here(beverly center, Santa Monica, Grove, and century city).
I've ruled out Century City because I think lines gonna be crazy there.
If anybody is in line at any of these store can you gives us a heads up of how many people in line, thanks!

I (technically) have to be at work at 9:30 although I've informed most of my co-workers I might be late. Anyone from previous Apple events at the grove have any idea how long the line can be? I was in Boston for iPhone 1.0. Anyone planning to go to an ATT store for faster service?

Anyone planning to go to an ATT store for faster service?I've been there for some events where the line snaked clear around the block. And it's a long block. Many hundreds of people. That doesn't mean this event will necessarily be the same, but it's a flagship store and gets lots of attention and business. Also, the iPhone is a product that takes longer to purchase than, say, a new version of Mac OS X.

On a sidenote, I'm just asking as a courtesy, if you do plan on smoking to either step out of line or ask people around you first. I'm not going to the grove or anything, but I have waited in lines outdoors for events where it wasn't easy to just move/leave but standing where I can smell the smoke from someone smoking nearby is absolutely unbearable.
