Well it will come as no surprise to most of you that I find the new 3G iPhone to be a let down. The "BUDGET" 3G model just doesn't live up to what was previously started with the original IMO. Today I went to a very exotic electronics store to see if there are any alternatives.
The first model that I was shown was the HTC Diamond. It definitely looks nice. The sharp lines and layout makes the iPhone body look a little old but then I turned it on. It is slower than my grandpa in the washroom. The screen was nice and it felt great in my hand but the user interface was lame. I did like the camera and the size though.
Then I was shown a couple other HTC's and the Samsung Seranata which was astronomical in price and a brick. So while I hope for a new model from apple with all the things that were left out on the budget model, does anyone know of a handset that comes close to iPhone? I have the original and it works great but I could use a change if there is something satisfactory. Maybe the software upgrade will do the trick. I guess time will tell.

HA I think it's funny when people get all defensive about a product which they had no hand in it's creation or development. You would never call me a troll to my face cuz I would simply beat your ass down. If you don't like what I have to say then don't read my posts. It's that simple.

Seriously? Are you a caveman that reverts to violence? We live in a civil society X, that solves problems with diplomacy and dialogue. Your mention of "beating my ass down" is just another example of your total lack of intelligence and insight.

There is a new Palm device running Windows Mobile (i know, what??!?) that is supposed to be out momentarily which might be of interest. It's on Sprint, though.

WOW I guess it's quite ok to put the product up on a pedestal and praise it to death and camp out for it and discuss what you will be doing while you use your good for nothing else time to wait for a phone but if anyone has another opinion they are called a troll. SO this forum is for fans only? This forum is for people who accept whatever apple puts out as gold. Interesting.

i know people want their opinions respected/questions answered, but it's unreasonable to come on an apple forum and talk about how crappy the iphone is, especially when you can't find anything better.

Those are some pretty tough words tat I'm guessing you would only speak from behind a computer screen, let's try to be civil here. You should probably understand that your iPhone 3G hating won't go over very well in this forum.

Well, this went bad...
If you think someone is trolling please use the post report system to report that post and then step back. Do NOT post just to say "Trolling", "Don't feed the troll" or whatever, that way the thread is much easier to moderate, and in many cases also salvageable, unlike this one.
Report and move on!
Oh, and trolling will get anyone banned, sooner rather than later...
