iPod touch iPod touch wont restore or go into recovery mode

Hi, i have used the ziiphone app to jailbreak my ipod i decided i would like to sell my ipod so i used the reset /erase all settings button under setting general in itouch menus. Now my ipod wont go into recovery mode and wont show up on my mac!

PLEASE HELP!
 
try this restore method (worked for me 2 times when my ipod was almost dead)

1. make sure ipod is off.
2. plug in ipod to COMPUTER
3. hold home button immediately until restore mode comes

been trying loads to get it into recovery mode but wont do it. I hold home button plug into mac and hold. Nothing I tired the hold sleepwake and home until restarts when apple logo appears let go of sleep wake nothing! I tired so many times but nothing. The actually ipod on its own with just jailbreaked apps and no data is working but just cant recover it or get it reconigsed by mac.
