A ton of my friends dont' even have screen names . They are in the +123456789 format . so I was hoping that I could change their display name in the AIM App.
There is an option there to do so. I click on the blue arrow next the the buddy and change the nick name to "john smith" . When i return to the buddy list it still displays +123456789 !
what gives? anyone else experiencing this? anyone have a work around?
I also tried adding the nicknames to the profiles in the desktop version of iChat in hopes that this would help. it didn't
