View Full Version : What is the benefit of 2.0 (assuming it is jailbroken at some point)?

Is there any reason to upgrade to 2.0? I'm trying to find just a simple list of upgrades in the 2.0 software but haven't yet. Plenty of reviews, but I don't care about 3G (hardware anyhow so it's moot) which is what most of the reviews focus on.

App Store and the access that provides to the iPhone's processing power.

It WILL be jailbroken and unlocked.

Google: "wiki push email"

I'm excited about the potential of the App Store too. Also nice: contact search, picture saving, scientific calc, maps, etc.

can we still use App Store in jailbroken and unlocked and outside US?

Still don't get what that is.

What is so great about the App store? And can't we already save pictures and stuff? Maybe I'm just lost as to the novelty of this new software.

2.0 has a scientific calculator and handwriting recognition for Chinese characters.
