In the other thread people were saying that if apple ported OSX to Windows machines (ie intel, IBM, etc) then Microsoft would thwaught them in everyway (stop making products etc).
BUt that isn't the case as far as I know, microsoft have a contract with apple that means they HAVE to make office and associated products with apple, which means if apple did port OSX microsoft couldn't do anyhting about it because there bound by that contract. (I'm pretty sure this is right). Although unfortunatly that contract runs out this year (october I think) which will be interesting.
Also microsft own ALOT of apple, so if they took apple down (so to speak), it would be like burning there own money, as they get profit from Apple.
I'm sick of hearing this ***** about Microsoft and Apple fighting it out when there on the ******** side. Microsofts main compeditor is the general public (because everyone hates them).
Another point I'd like to ask/make is, Apple made the OS Gui right? and Bill Gates copied it.... I think. Then Apple sued Gate, but lost, and Gates got away with it.
Could apple learn from it's original mistakes, and sue gates for copying OSX with WinXP??? But this time make sure they have an air tight case?
Although, as I said before Microsoft own's alot of apple so maybe there board doesn't allow it... or something along those lines.
(There has to be a legit way to bring down bill gates and microsoft..... hmmm maybe if he keeps pissing off the public, they'll declare microsoft a company of terror... that would be funny)
