Installer is Damaged

I am trying to install itunes 7.7 on my G5 imac running tiger. I am able to download the app from apple.com but once i try and run the installer it freezes my computer and says the installer is damaged. and then displays "Installer is unable to open the package. This is likely due to Install framework's runner executable not having the proper ownership and/or permissions."

I have repaired permissions and still the same thing.

Any ideas?

THe same thing happened to me. My computer's permissions are screwed up too i think and i lost the installation cd🙁
