Does the 2.0 alarm allow for playing of music???

Can the alarm clock in the 2.0 software play music instead of the crappy ringtones 1.1 software only allowed???

Custom ring tones = Music for your alarm clock.

Personally music will NOT wake me up, I've fallen asleep in night clubs playing 110db music ( all genres )
Now that freaking alarm tone on the iPhone will wake me up instantly.

But it won't play a whole playlist. All the basic iPods do this; I've been using an iPod plugged into speakers as an alarm clock for over a year. It's great, and the iPod touch and iPhone need to be able to match it.
