Less Space After 2.0 Update?

I noticed after installing the new 2.0 software update that I'm down to 7.08GB of Space on my 8GB iPod touch.

Is there a way to fix this, or is it because the new 2.0 firmware takes up more space?

i think it takes away space becauase it adds the app store and how'd you get 2.0 already? direct download link?

it is about 100 meg larger than previous firmwares....

which is understandable since they are using new frameworks and some extra features
