Alright, my first post 🙂

Anyway, I've had it with my PCs. Every time I get windows, it works for about a year before having some horrible error that destroys it, (4 times, 6 if you include 2 laptops). Well, my HP has lasted about a year and a half, but I'm also just sick of vista that came with it, so I'm switching to Mac. I'm getting the Mac Pro, and I was wondering if I can rip out my PC parts and put them in the Pro (3 gigs of ram, a 8800 geForce card, the sound card, and if I could, the harddrive). Is that possible to do from PC to Mac?

If the HDD is SATA II, yes.

Not the sound card.

You can flash the 8800 GT to work in OS X. Search for 8800 GT EFI64 ROM.

Definitely not the RAM... unless you had FB-DIMMs.

What to do with a totaled W(*&xs Machine...

If you could still use a second computer, go to www.ubuntu.com, and procure Ubuntu Linux. You can download it for free, or else order a CD for less than $5, and still get away from the Windows insanity.
