Every time I try to add a stock to My Stock, it crashes. Has anyone experienced this problem? Any solutions?
Thanks

My Bloomberg is also crashing everytime I go to add a stock. It just goes back to the home page. I cannot figure it out.

Getting the same thing here. Frustrating. Hopefully the app will be updated soon to take care of this...

Just added BMW, works. No crash.
Which 2.0 build are you using? 1.1 or 1.2? Are you on 2G or 3G phone?

it's working fine for me, it's an awesome app, exactly what i was hoping Apple's Stock application would be. Try updating firmware?

I'm on official 2.0 firmware. Nothing unusual. The only thing I can think of that I might have done differently than people not having the problem is that I first deleted the default AAPL symbol before trying to add something. I remember that the add a stock symbol screen didn't crash initially when I was poking around to see what the app offered. Only since removing the default symbol does it now crash and not let me add anything to the list.

While in Bloomberg it suddenly dropped back to my home screen and nothing worked right until a restart. This is on a new 3G.
I had already added one stock earlier. I went back into it to check the landscape fever chart, when I tapped to try to get the buttons for the time period is when it crashed.

This happens if the stock list in My Stocks is empty. By default Apple ticker is in the list, if its removed bloomberg will crash when a new stock is added. Work around is uninstall/reinstall and add at least one of your stocks before removing Apple. :)

Thanks, that workaround works great.

The app also has some nice features that are not obvious to find at first. In the stocks detail page rotating the device to landscape switches to fullscreen chart with traded volume! Different time range can be selected, pinch & stretch to zoom and tap and hold for 'tracking crosshair'.
Column titles with orange corners seemed weird at first, but try tapping on them :)

According to the Bloomberg folks, a fix for the add-a-stock-crash has already been submitted to Apple and they're just waiting for it to be added to the app store for update. They suggested the workaround already noted in this thread until the update appears.

Anyone know if the bloomberg is done in real-time quotes? like the black berry? or is it still those 20 minute delayed useless POS?

I have a slightly different problem. On my iPod Touch running OS 3.1.3, if I look at a stock in landscape mode to get price details then, when I go back to portrait mode I get a blank screen and the only thing I can do is return to the springboard. Any one else seeing this? Yes, the Bloomberg app is the latest version.
