I recently installed the SuperDrive Update 1.0 on the Quicksilver, dual 800 PowerMac G4 we have at school. Anyway, in the middle of the update, the computer sort of froze and something happened to the firmware updater. I ran it again and it told me that the computer did not need the update.

After that, however, the CD eject key on the keyboard (and the eject button in iTunes) won't eject the cd tray any more. This was last Wednesday. Today, I tried running the firmware updater once again, and it seemed to update fine. No "You don't need this update" message or anything.

However, the cd tray still will not eject. The SuperDrive is visible in the System Profiler, so I'm not sure what's wrong exactly.

Again, this is on a...

o- Dual 800 QuickSilver PowerMac G4
o- Mac OS X 10.3 Panther
o- Apple SuperDrive (DVD-RW DVR-103)

If anyone can help, please, please, PLEASE reply to this or e-mail me at res7sj07@verizon.net, AIM: suparshadow, Y!M: saturnphantom.

Thank you!
