Has anyone else noticed games like monkey ball, and that water game eat up your battery fast!

Not sure if its a 3G iPhone thing or if its the same for all iPhones

Super Monkey Ball and Enigmo are like two of the games that uses a ton of graphics and 3D rendering. Of course it'd drain the battery :P.

As does running of 3G and browsing the internet, it isn't surprising that games run down the battery

Did people expect otherwise?

iPhone is a great tool but it still suffers from average at best battery life

I played Super Monkey Ball on my Touch for 30 minutes and it drained half battery life! :eek:

That's why I'm glad I have a Touch instead of iPhone, even if it dies from games I'm not left phoneless!

You mean kinda like how HandBrake would drain my laptop battery faster than if I was just using Safari? Yah, I figured that. I've also noticed that my car's gas lasts longer if I don't drive it. :)

If there isn't one of those portable battery doo-hickeys like there are for a lot of phones, there should be soon.

im not talking about normal high usage im talking very excessive, like draining half my battery in 30 mins

The phone also gets incredibly hot when playing something like Monkey Ball.

Actually, I hope you're right - I'd love to see more option as far as mobile charging goes. At the rate I use my phone, this battery won't even last me until lunch!

I don't believe that it's the games, themselves, that's sucking the life out of your battery but more so having the back light on (to play those games) for extended periods of time ;)
