I don't know if there are many UK macrumors posters, but they will probably remember Natalie from the 80s in Neigbours. A breeding ground for popstars it seems - that other famous Ramsy St. character actor: Kylie.
I think its a bit difficult to fit Natalie into pure Top 40 pop. She definately has a knack for singing ballads. Torn is a cover I believe but a cool song. If you have the chance to download the acoustic song, you'll like it even better.
Her latest album White Lilly Island, was written in London and apparently inspired by the Thames. Good albums that are radio friendly.

Does anyone even remember her anymore?
Flash in the pan and she was gone.

Definitely an one-hit wonder, and not even with an original track, but a cover! I remember hearing the original, and thought it was so much better.
I'm sure she's very nice and all, but dime-a-dozen comes to mind...

The original was by Ednaswap and was a very low-key version. Ednaswap later did a radio version which was more similar to Natalie Imbruglia's. Both Ednaswap versinos were better than Natalie's... but she's not the only artist to become famous off of a cover.

I even still remember the picture on the 'torn' single that I bought as a kid... used to swoon over it much :D Then I saw her scrawny body and decided to swoon over someone else :o (Personal opinion only, I like em bigger) :D

Never really liked the track when I first heard of it. Can't explain why, it just didn't hit anything with me

Hi,
Natalie parted ways with her record label. She is no longer associated with Brightside Recordings. It has been confirmed that Imbruglia obtained the rights to the songs recorded for the album and is going to release her 4th studio album on her own independent label, Malabar Records. Natalie confirmed that the songs included on the record were co-written with Ben Hillier, Dave McCracken, Daniel Johns, Gary Clark, Jamie Hartman, Paul Harris and Shep Solomon. Some of the tracks were produced by Hillier and mixed by Danton Supple, who previously collaborated with the singer on her album White Lilies Island. The album was scheduled to be released in March 2009 with the first single being sent to radio stations in February. It has now been confirmed by Natalie that the first single will be sent to radio around July, as she had a “last-minute inspiration" and also had some new material offered from Chris Martin .

This song is sub taste.
Worse than "music for people who don't like music", this is music for people who don't care and can't be bothered.

"With" genital warts.
They got torn too...
Wish I could have knocked one off "With" Natalie back in the day..
I'd throw in a torn her a new one line, but the tone is low enough already
