Preparing iPod for restore....

Hi,

When I try to restore my ipod after downloading firmware 2.0, it brings up a box that says "preparing iPod for restore". It says that for about 10 minutes then an error box shows up that says unkown error (2003) or (1601). And now my ipod is bricked I think :(. Could anyone help me with this and is this a problem with my ipod or with apple's over flowed servers?

I would say just downgrade the firmware and restore if you would like and then upgrade again. Not sure if that will work.
