A lovely sentimental ballad. It's not lovely, nor sentimental... I guess it is a ballad, though... but it still sucks...
I guess (or rather hope) whoever posted this has some personal associations to this song or the period it came out... I know I get a warm, fuzzy feeling inside of some real sh*tty 80s songs... ;)

I prefer "When five became zero" by the Spice Girls, e.g., they stopped assaulting our ears.

It's nice to know that this particular brand of UK popsplosion still raises most people's hackles... warm fuzzy!

You know what, it's better than the tripe on the radio today.
I mean, after the explosions of rap, emo, this punk ****, and nu-metal, bubblegum pop isn't that bad, actually.
In fact, I'd venture into saying that it wasn't that bad anyway. I mean, the manufacturers did follow some sort of winning musical equation each time... they had to... just plug in the variables with different figures. Just enough variety to make each record, be it (early) Britney, Spice Girls, (early) N*SYNC, All Saints, whatever.
I really think we just heard too much/were trained by media to hate it.

Either that, or I just never liked it. :) But that's precisely why I never listen to anything on the radio except talk radio and http://theclassicalstation.org/. No such problems with things like the latest sellout overplayed song that is in every commercial (Black Eyed Peas used to be great).

I love how a spice girls song gets some of the most views and replys of any other song submitted here... :p
