UK 3G iPhone users HELP

ok everyone... I got my iphone today - put in the sim that came with the phone and did the itunes thing... nothing... no service... also when i click on voicemail it just dials 901!!!! Where is visual voicemail?? Also how do I port my number over? I was told this would be done in itunes!!! AHHHHHHHHH!

That my friend is a whole load of ********* from O2, they seriously dont have a clue how to operate a mobile phone network. I have worked at Orange, and trust me I have not seen anything like this.

You CANNOT activate your O2 sim card thru itunes, thats a whole load of bull. You could last year, but not this time. You can only register and activate your iPhone, as in syc all ya contacts, music n stuff.

You will be waiting at least another 24 hours. I got my iPhone at 9am yesterday, and it took 36 hours to activate (get O2 reception).

I wouldn't mind but I want to port my number over too! But the visual voicemail thing is worrying me I have to admit... anyone else have problems setting it up? Maybe it will allow me to configure once it's activated?
