I beat super monkey ball level one on easy, got a bad surprise!

Once I beat the first world of Super Monkey Ball on Easy, I was greeted with an unpleasant surprise, (by the way, level 9 is quiet satisfying to beat) you have to beat it on hard to advance, at this time I throw my hands up in the air and put my iPhone to sleep. Anyone beat hard?
