Samba support is still not 100% fixed... :(

I had problems w/my B&W 400.
My B&W locked up on the optimizing part of the download. Forced restarted and then black screen w/monitor claiming no sync. Restarted again and all i get the Gray APPLE and the spinning logo w/gray screen.
Haven't been able to fix yet. Got some ideas from APPLE discussions, but will try later tonite. Several other folks have had the same problem.

Still on Jaguar. I'm curious to see the results to determine if I should make the move or wait a little longer.

I chose better only because I haven't played around with it enough to discover anything "major wonderful".

Video is faster, but I've seen a flaw or two in it. Otherwise, things seem somewhat better.

well, my G5 still has issues when mounted shares disconnect (my powerbook on the wireless network)... locks the whole thing up. So that obviously didn't get fixed ;)
Basically, the only thing upgrading did was cause candybar and shapeshifter to no longer work (as the .2 hasn't been added yet as a supported version... ugh).

My iBook that was just wiped clean and reinstalled last week was running 10.3.1 like a bat out of hell.
Wednesday night I installed the update. It went fairly smooth, but the machine got hung up while trying to reboot after the installation was complete. Upon a forced restart, I discovered my iBook was suffering from 10.3.2 Slow Boot Syndrome.
I tried all the usual troubleshooting tricks, to no avail. Other people whose installs went off without a hitch are reporting the drastically increased boot time as well, and no known fixes have been discovered yet.
/me grudgingly hunkers down to wait for "10.3.2:The Sequel" to show up in Software Update.

10.3.2 has made Halo run better (it's got new ATI drivers apparently), and I haven't had any problems with it. I'm interested in trying Samba though, I had some problems in 10.3.1 but haven't tried it in 10.3.2 yet.
I'm running on a 1.25 GHz MDD.

My computer is a Power Mac G4 466, after the Update to 10.3.2 my computer has become more responsive; the finder is much faster and so are a lot of other programs.
Boot up was slow for the first boot, but the second boot up was the usual speed.

I voted worse simply because a minor update shouldn't slow down system response times as drastically as this has, not to mention now I have some odd iChat issue now and tonight my computer somehow logged out and then logged back in all by itself when it went to screen saver. I'm not sure if that last one was caused by the update or not, but I was running smooth as silk with 10.3.1 and now suddenly I am finding all sorts of oddities while I am doing just simple web browsing and chatting.

You got system haxies on your computer?
I go rid of all my Candybars, Shapeshifters, etc and my system now runs smooth as a Panther's behind.

Java seems to be MUCH slower.. i dunno what happened, but just testing it out on some simple java compiles, its just draggin' (around 50-75% slower)
I wish I could revert back to 10.3.1 ...

The only hack I've used on my system has been Transparent Dock, which has ran smoothly since 10.3.0. Besides that, I don't have anything else running. I keep a pretty clean system and besides the dock, the only thing I've done has been to change a few icons with those I've liked better and I don't use any hack programs like Candybar to do it, but the old fashioned copy and paste method. I deleted the preference file for iChat tonight so I'll see if the problem still occurs in time. The thing that really bugs me the most, though, is the slowdown that the update seems to have dealt my system. Programs launch quicker now, but startup, logging in/out, shutdown, and browsing Finder all seem slower.

Some bugs were fixed that annoyed me but no speed difference (except some games). It works well. Haven't seen any mystery slow down problems.

i have no explanation for this, but i hope it doesn't happen again.

One thing I must say that I love about the update, though...I just went into my applications folder and highlighted 30 programs and hit command+O to see how my PowerBook would handle it and everything opened blazingly fast, so then I decided to see how Exposé would handle tiling close to 40 different windows all with various sizes, shapes, and activity, and it did so with perfect fluidity. 10.3.1 would have definitely choked with something like this.

i was about to say: no difference...
but then i realised fast user switching is consistently smooth (so far). And iphoto is much better. other improvements are hard for me to notice.

Oh, and no fan issues. In fact no issues AT ALL.

10.3.2 seems to have corrected the sleep issues on my G4, I guess due to the new ATI drivers.

Mail is faster, iPhoto is faster, I'm happy. Also a nice Mail bug fix--junk mail crashed the whole program before on e-mails with a blank subject--now it works just as it should. No problems for me with this update.

10.3.2 has been perfectly fine for me. No real revolutionary improvements, but things in Finder feel snappier, and window resizing has improved.
Mainly, I'm happy I'm not having any of the other problems people are reporting on my PowerBook (no fan issues, startup time normal, etc.).

Actually, I have. It is a very good book for new to intermediate users. I recommend it to anyone in those categories.

10.3.2 upgrade was good. Performance improvements iTunes ( I don't mean due to v4.2 upgrade) were good, and made iPhoto almost usable :->
Shame Apple didn't enable all resolutions that are available on external monitors.
Shame about the slower start up time, but since I rarely reboot or turn off my iBook, I don't really mind.

I chose "No difference". Mainly because things that I don't use got updated (iPhoto), and stuff I do (Samba networking) still doesn't work right. Maybe next time...

I wanted to vote "Come on, give me a couple of days before asking!" but that option wasn't there ;) That being said I haven't noticed much yet, but I did notice performance improvements with Neverwinter Nights last night. The loading of different level was twice as fast as before, but I don't know if this would be directly attributed to the system upgrade... but I haven't done anything else to my computer.

If my second monitor can't come to the party, I can't come to the party.
My opinion is that 10.3.2 is exclusionary.

It's not "exclusionary." I'm sure your card manufacturer was invited to the WWDC and given preview releases of Panther. It's not Apple's problem if the card manufacturer chooses not to support Panther.

Haven't had the long start-up times issue on the 17" PB, it doesn't feel any snappier, but it's certainly no slower, and 10.3.1 was much faster than 10.2.8, so still a net gain. FCP4 is runnig better with the update, and I wonder how much the new app updates are keying into the new OS release.

Mail now constantly makes my G4 freeze!
When I try to launch Mail, it bounces, but then nothing happens and the system freezes.
What's more, the log-in window takes ages to load!
This really sucks!
