Finally broke 2000 today and got a nice little certificate from Stanford, that's pretty standard isn't it?

Never seen it mentioned before.

I've got 3 1ghz iMacs running all over Christmas, plus a 500Mhz G4 and I'm still trying to persuade the IT boys to network the lab with the 20 G5 2.0DP machines, that'd kick some serious butt.

No luck so far, they say there isn't enough reason to run the wire.:mad:

What do your IT guys need to convince them to run it on their G5's? That would be awesome! I run the network here at work and there is no noticible difference for our users.

It's not the app they object to, it's cabling the room and actually connecting the machines, they are in lab that has no networking at all and they are all stand-alone music/video workstations.

I pointed out how shortsighted not networking for audio was when the room was built, but was told it wasn't up to my faculty and that IT would sort it out.

They never did, and now I have a room of potential Folding monsters I can't use.:mad:

Mine was dated the 19th (the day I looked at it.) But I know I broke 10,000 almost half a year ago...

Its a new thing, they didn't keep track back when you guys made it to 200K, so they had to use todays date.

OK, I got past 50 units today, and got another spiffy certificate from Stanford, what really nice people they are:D

New core is running about 40% faster on the PowerBook:p :p :D

Is it running particularly hot? From my assessment, my G3/800 and G4/800 processors are running at almost the same speed so that it doesn't look like there's much AltiVec code at all. If your PowerBook is fairly cool, that would almost confirm my suspicion.

Then, it's more amazing that we're all doing so well, even with a clock speed deficit. Take that PC mongers! (Has anyone ever monged a PC?)

Hopefully, your second 2000 will come more quickly than the first. :)
