I had a realization today. There is a hidden set of settings on the iPhone that some people may have missed. It's in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>[MobileMe] Account

Here there's a set of settings. Each category has an individual push switch. I seem to remember that when I first set up my phone to push that these were off. So, if they are you need to switch them on. Or, if they're on, it might be worth trying to turn them off and on to force the sync. Would be interested to hear whether this helps.

Turning a particular one on and then off will force it to sync. I've done that with the calendar

i wouldn't exactly call it hidden, being that doing this is a step in the mobileme setup guide that everyone should have followed to configure their phone...but yes that is probably a pretty common reason for some of the problems people are having.

If you're not getting calender and contact data pushed to your phone, try following the instructions from apple - http://www.apple.com/mobileme/setup/iphone/mac.html

I have tried the 10 step guide, including powering my iPhone off and completely on again, turning push off and back on, turning off the individual push items and back on, and deleting and re-setting up my account - both with my original .Mac account and my new Me.com account, but only one at a time, as well as syncing to iTunes in the middle of some of those fixes, and at no time has that solved the problem that Mail won't push to my iPhone.
