At the moment, haven't spent a bean. Only downloaded free apps as my iPhone hasn't actually arrived yet. Will spend a few notes on a game or two when it turns up however

The only thing I'd like to buy, AFAIK, is that Rolando game. If I had enough money I would've bought a PSP for Locco Rocco, so Rolando seems to be a good replacement. I've read comments about Rolando being better than Locco Rocco anyway, so that's a plus. :D

I just checking out the freebies for now. When I start to determine things that are missing, I'll open the wallet for some apps that cost money.

Mainly freebies, but then Shazam has been very useful (for identifying music you hear playing in the pub, etc) and Super Monkey Ball is a bit of fun so I got that. May buy a couple more games, as they're pretty full-featured and a bargain at that price (compared to Nintendo DS/PSP).
I feel that in general the quality of the apps you pay a little for (under $10 generally) is much higher than the free ones. Well, games-wise at least.

I've downloaded Cube Runner, which is a pretty amazing free game, and Weatherbug, which is also a pretty amazing free weather widget.
I will probably buy super monkey ball soon, because it looks like the best game on the app store.

This morning, I purchased the Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D game. It's my first paid iPhone app, however I have roughly 15 free apps on my iPhone 3G.

I just noticed last night that Tetris was up. I snagged it up right away. The touch interface is a really great way to play the game.
I also got Monkey Ball as soon as I got my iPhone updated. I bought into (literally) the Top Paid App status. In hindsight, I could've passed and went for Ms. Pac-Man, instead.

I bought the apple poker game, it was like what $6?
Its an OK poker game.. I much prefer the THTouch from Jailbreak. But I made the sacrifice to get the App Store.

I've spent about $4 on two apps. Don't own an iPhone or iPod touch, so those apps are sitting there being neglected in my iTunes library. Would be so cool if they launched. :D

Uh… why?
I bought Super Monkey Ball, Enigmo and Band—all well worth the money. And got a lot of free apps.

Right now I would say I have spent about $20 total in games
I don't plan on buying too much more though until I get some relief from work so I can spend more time on the phone

Sounds like you'd like THQ's "de Blob" too. Looks a similar style of game (though having played neither, I could be wrong!). Dizzy Bee looks a little similar too.
Aurora Feint : The Beginning looks pretty amazing too - very unusual concept.
Have spent nothing here yet, very few apps available, and not even one game. :(

Man, I got excited for a second. The first thing that comes to mind when I see SMB is Super Mario Bros. Then, I realized it was only Super Monkey Ball. Don't get me wrong, Monkey Ball is a great show off App, but I'd be infinitely more thrilled with Mario. I'm not sure that platformers will ever make their way to the iPhone, though.
Has anyone played South Park: Imaginationland? That's the closest thing to a platformer that I've seen.

Don't have an iPhone or iPod touch at the moment, so I haven't spent anything at the App Store. At the rate my music library is growing I'd need a 128 GB iPod touch to store it all... though I have to wonder, if I tried converting it to something other than Apple Lossless, if I could get it to fit within 32 GB.

I've spent about $20 so far on three games on the iTunes App Store. The games I purchased are: Super Monkey Ball, Big Bang Sudoku, and Platinum Solitare.

MR, where the heck is the "I don't own an iPhone / iPod Touch" option ??? It's sure not explicit if your intention is for non-iPhone/Touch owners not to vote...
I have an iPod Touch, and I just want to make sure the numbers are heavily skewed by having all the non-owners vote "haven't downloaded anything".
And btw, what's with all the cheapos only getting the free apps? :D:D:D

Try 80 kbps AAC. You won't even notice the difference. :D

I spent about £21 so far, but i do regret buying some stuff. like super monkey ball because it still beta as far as i am concerned they need to fix the sensitivity.
Trisim I am very gald to have bought I would have happy paid 5-8 pounds for it, best game I have played on the iphone and it is very cheap.
Shazam is also a really good free app, Its works really well over edge/3g with sending the song track anyone with an iphone should check it out.

Serious but useful apps such Nettars anatomy are expensive (for app store) but if useful (as it is for me) then they are worth it and much cheaper than the physical media. So I am in the $75 category (but £ sterling)
Going to get Omnifocus today so will be a high spender this month!

Just added it all up: £28.11 so far!
I bought:
Sketches for annotating photos and maps to email,
FileMagnet,
Vicinity,
SuDoku (accident before I realised the shopping cart doesn't work on the App Store),
Trism,
iDrops,
Vegas Solitaire,
Cro-Mag Rally
All pretty good, I'm gonna have to buy Stage Hand at some point, and when it comes out I'll probably buy a paid-for VNC client.

Super Monkey Ball and some Sudoku game

Jul 18, 2008, 08:45 AM
I downloaded SuperMonkeyBall and Apple poker plus Aquaforest and others ($30 total), and haven't been charged (games play fine). I have been charged and had confirmation emails for other free and paid for apps bought subsequently.
Pretty good really but the uncharged apps do not appear in my applications on iTunes so I imagine they will disappear if I need to restore??
Just "bought" Dizzy Bee also, not charged yet, icon appears but game won't open.
I'm happy to buy games from App Store but in the circumstances I don't suppose I will be making much of a fuss to Apple 'cause it'll cost me!
Just checked my iTunes account and all my purchases are showing up correctly there, so in that case why no confirmation emails and no backups on iTunes?
Still don't know if I have actually been charged

$0.00.
Nothing worth buying, imo. The iPhone as it is has most of what I would need.
I'd pay $9.99 for a good IM app. I'd also pay for iWork 08/office on iPhone.

The most useful app so far is Things. Best GTD application ever and the iPhone version is perfect IMO.

I have spent a grand total of $27.97 not including the fee to upgrade to 2.0 on my touch. I have purchased:
Super Monkey Ball: $9.99
Cro-Mag Rally: $9.99
Platinum Solitaire: $7.99 (they are now charging $3.99 for it)

5.99 for Crash Bandicoot. Considered getting SMB but after hearing complaints about steering difficulty left it.

99 cents. But, I'll probably double, or triple that before I'm done.
Actually, I'll probably be at about $15 when I'm done, unless something really catches my eye.
The vendors need to put more Free Trial Apps before I spend much more. The big thing that is lacking on most App Vendors websites is complete explanations of their App. That is, unless the App doesn't have very much to offer.
