thought about it seriously but can't decide what i want on my body for the rest of my life! ready to do it on the hedge that the technology to remove them will be 20 times better and cheaper than it is now by the time i'm 60 and ready to forget how stupid i was when i was 20.... :D

I'm considering one down may back. What's stopping me is that I haven't figured out the design yet. It's tough because that's gonna be on there for a long damn time!

because I assumed you meant a permanent ink design injected into the skin.
However, if you meant the, um, how shall I put it?, little man who runs around saying '"de plane, boss, de plane!" like the late, great Herve Villechaise (sp?) then I'd have to say yes, 'cause I've got three of those!
PS: Think twice before making white suits your trademark -- they're murder to keep clean!

I have no interest in Tattoos what so ever, I see no reason for them. I would image they cost much (Money that could go towards my Mac) and be very painful with a stain at the end that can't be removed.

Two: Japanese Kanji character, Chikara, meaning strength. Since I'm half Japanese I thought I'd get a Japanese character. Located on my right bicep. My second tat is a panther crawling up my left arm/shoulder. Both moderately hurt tho I've heard varying stories from friends that they've fallen asleep in the chair whilst receiving the tat. Hah!

I have tree tattoos….Two on my left arm and one on my right.
At one point in time, all of my tattoos had a meaning behind them, now only one of them carries a meaning!!!
I’m just glad I stopped at three!!

Let's see, I have one around my right calf, written in Tolkien's Tengwar/Quenya text that says "All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost" with a little JRRT rune connecting the beginning and the end.
On my back, just above my right shoulder blade, I have the symbol for the city of Sevilla in Spain, (NO8DO).
Aaaaaand on my left bicep, worked into a really cool looking design, I have Psalm 139:7-10. That was the most painful, because the text is extremely small - a lot of needling was involved.
But blah blah blah. I'm boring.

Apple on my back right shoulder. A homemade tat on my left shoulder that never got finished (I was 17 at the time).
I want to get Calvin (or Stupendous Man or Spaceman Spiff) and Hobbes (real or toy, I can't decide).

No tattoos for me. Although with the advent of temporary ones, including henna, I might consider one of those. :) Get an Apple logo for MWSF. :)

Not to say that some of us have Apple tats... and the poll is on an Apple related site. Calm down. A handful of people have already posted "yes" to "Apple related," so you know you're barking up the wrong tree.

edit: ps, there are lots of people who are deeply involved with linux or other systems who have those slogans/logos inked. computer related is not a bad addition. those of us with tats specific to this site or other tech sites are proud of them and want to share.

i have a tribal design on my lower back. i'd wanted one for years, and then finally decided to do it last summer. but that's it for me. one tattoo, one piercing (tongue), and i'm done.

i have to say, i'm a little surprised by the amount of negative comments about tattoos (not so much here, but on spymac). i think it's important to remember that mac users represent a rather diverse group of people, and believe it or not, just because we have the mac in common, doesn't mean we have to agree on everything else in life.
anyway, yea, i have a few (http://www.thorprecords.com/messageboards/images/misc/tats.jpg) (no apple tattoos though).

A tatto is something that I have never really ever considered.
Here is a new kind of tattoo. On "David Letterman" show on Friday 12/19, new sensational game 'Show or tell something.' A lady displayed her tattoo, it was on the small of her back, a picture fo her 2 children. David thought it was amazing and realistic.

Someone once told me a tattoo is "a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling", and I've seen several people who have tattoos that they regret getting. They also get all nasty and wrinkly when they get old. I know lots of people like tattoos, and more power to them, but I really don't find them attractive.

Props to the half Japanese person who posted earlier! I'm also half Japanese, and I have two characters on my left upper arm/ shoulder area.
Though I can't read, write, or speak Japanese (sad, really), I have it on good authority that my tattoo reads Ko and Jima. Ko being small, Jima being island, Kojima being my last name. :D
Shocked he heck out of my mother and grandparents. My dad shruged and said "hey! cool!!!"
Been resisting the urge to get another one ever since. One should be enough, but gee golly it's addictive. If I ever get a computer-related one though, please, someone, slap me.

For my mom's 50th birthday, she took my sister(17) and me(20) to get tattoos... she got a crescent moon (her) and 2 stars (sister, me) on her ankle, my sister got a cool little tribal frog on her wrist and I got the date my father died in binary down my right calf.
Now I want a piercing now... i was thinking my nipple, but I hear that's one of the most painful places to get done.

Don't have one, never going to get one. Just a personal preference. In fact, since more and more people seem to be getting tattoos, and they seem to be younger and younger when they get them, I'm thinking of starting a tattoo removal business in a few years to cash in on all the people who have regrets from doing such a permanent thing to themselves to reflect a temporary thing/feeling/event/fad!

Heh, you think that would be painful, try imagining getting a needle stuck through your clit. Not that I speak from personal experience...yet...

My tattoo is by far the most prosaic. A set of dots to get proper alignment.
Admittedly I did shave an Apple into my hair for WWDC.

Shortly after getting married, I thought about getting a tat of my new wifes name, but then a friend told me "I can see having a wife and kids, but a tattoo is so permanent" So no tattoo for me.

It is. The two pictures are identical, except sans tattoo in the second one. They'd never be able to remove a tattoo that flawlessly in one day.
