Upgrade To Family and add Trial Account??? (Question)

If I now have 2 Individual Trial Accounts, and Upgrade one to Family,
1. Can I then import the other Trial Account into one of the Family Accounts, or
2. Do I have to Cancel the 2nd Trial and then try to set it up under one of the Family memberships and use the cancelled Email/Username from the 2nd Trial Acct.?

I can't even click on the upgrade icon under Account Options. The icon has a little Green Bang in the corner and is not working right now.
