What Should I Say to Get the Upgrade Fee Waived?

A few people here were saying that if I call AT&T CSR, I could get the $18 upgrade fee waived.

What should I say when I call? Just simply ask for it to be waived?

Wave your hand and say "these are not the activation fees you are looking for, move along."?

1 million iphones were sold this weekend. Good luck on that one.
