fax question

I have an imac that i have had for about 6 week. I need to fax a paper and i don't know how to fax it. Will the imac fax? if not what do i need to do to get it to fax? is it possible? :confused:

If you have a phone line port (modem) on your Mac you can fax. Otherwise, you need an Apple USB Modem (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA034Z/A?mco=MTIxODk3Mw).

I don't think the newer iMacs have a built in modem.

Is faxing over the internet supported? I know I can fax on Windows Pro using Microsoft Outlook....

I'd look into programs that let you fax things through your internet connection.. I know there's a couple on the Windows side, not sure about the Mac side..

I need o send a fax, too. I was thinking that maybe (somehow) I could use bluetooth to connect to the internet via my mobile phone, and thus send a fax. is that realistic?

When I setup the bluetooth connection with my phone the computer gave me the option to "Connect to the internet using mobile phone" or something like that.
