Please help, my macbook wont load, I get the grey screen the apple in the middle and the busy circle underneath and thats where it sticks , your help would be appreciated thanks :)..Julie

First thing to check is to whether the Mac sees your internal drive.

Reboot and immediately hold down the option key. Keep holding until you get the blue screen showing bootable volumes. If you see your internal drive, that's a good sign. If you don't see it, it may have died.

Next boot off of the DVD that came with your Mac. After you select English stop there. Go to the Utilities menu and select Disk Utility.

Look on the left column. Does it see the physical drive? Does it see the MacOS volume beneath it?
