is there any books or manuals available for OSX.3 similar to the supplied manual except for doing advanced features?

I haven't seen any advanced manuals but you'd be better off buying one of the various books. Mac OS X Unleashed is rather advanced. If that's too advanced, you might try Mac OS X: The Missing Manual.

Well you can generally look for at Unix Manuals since the core of the OS is UNIX - The problem however is that FreeBSD the UNIX version the OS 10 is built on is hard to find information for
