I read here where people are having trouble upgrading their iphone to 2.0. I would like to do it to use the features of 2.0 but afraid to do so because I don't want to lose use of phone or calendar contacts, etc. This forum has always been good to get explicit step by step instructions oh how to do things. (I looked but couldn't find them.) Could someone please post those instructions and is whether or not it's a risk to update at this time.

Thanks ahead of time for your help.

I think you will be fine. I updated mine, my dad's and a friend's all in a row.

No problems at all.

Steps:
1) Check to see if you have iTunes 7.7, if not make sure to update, because 2.0 won't be available until you do.
2) Click "Update" to install 2.0, or click "Restore" to restore iPhone to its original settings. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the update/restore process

Let us know if you have any problems or need more help.

Good luck.

I haven't had a problem so far.
The backup thing everytime you sync is starting to become annoying though
