Problem with battery

It seems that my battery is dieing out pretty quickly. I do about an hour of surfing on wifi and an hour of music and a few text here and there on a fully chaged iphone and than my iphone battery drains down to about 1/4 battery life. Is that normal for it to drain that quickly:confused:?

Try the following:

1. Run your iPhone until the battery is completely discharged (i.e., the phone will not respond or turn on when you press any of the buttons).
2. Plug the iPhone into the wall charger and do not unplug it until the battery is FULLY charged (you will see a plug in the battery icon when it's full).
3. Run your iPhone until the battery is completly discharged again.
4. And finally do one more full charge.

Then see how your battery life is. I did the above steps and mine is now just where I'd expect it to be... more than half-full after being in use from 8 AM this morning until now (5 PM).

Also, go in to Settings, General Settings, and usage.

You can check and see how many hours of usage has been accumulated.

This should probably be within 5 - 7 hours with 0 standby time.

For instance mine is getting low now, but I have 5 hours of usage with like 26 hours standby.

It may just be you don't realize exactly how much you are using the phone.

My usage is 3 hours 5 minutes and standby is 15 hours 9 minutes :confused: I'll try to drain it completely and then recharge it fully.

I'm getting pretty bad battery life as well. My battery is down to less than a quarter with only 9hrs of standby and 1:45 of use. I expected to charge every night, but I don't think mine can make it through the day.

Wow, you know what I just noticed...my call-time was transferred to my 3G phone. Wha da hill! =)

Yeah I drained the battery life till it died. I charged it to its fullest overnight I didn't get the lightining charging symbol on the little battery. I'm going to test the battery life today. :rolleyes:

I went in to the Apple store yesterday and they told me to turn off location services in the general settings menu to save battery life.

I'm sure this will help some, bu a friend of mine with a 3G has this turned on, and she is getting much better battery life I am. I have a genius bar appointment on Wed, so hopefully they can help me out.

Why is it that when I check my usage the usage and standby section is blank?
