So for the 2.0 update they added in search for contacts an there's even a search in the remote application for controlling itunes on your desktop, but still no search in the ipod app. Wtf? Its like they added search function to everything but the ipod.

it'd be nice if they could make a systemwide search app. on the bottom, you could tap on the kind of search you wanted (contact, song, album, bookmark, app, etc.) or just search everything. but i agree, it'd be nice to have a search feature in the ipod.
To me, the most glaring omission is the lack of a search function in Mail.app.
2.0 lets me sync thousands of messages, but the only way to find a specific message is to scroll scroll scroll.
I think the iPhone is in dire need of a Spotlight-type application.
