ipod will not connect to itunes!

Well, strangely enough it means that "the apple mobile device service is not started".:D

This is a programme that iTunes installs that runs as a Windows Service in order to facilitate connectivity between iTunes on your Windows computer and the iPod. If it doesn't start and run then this won't happen.

If you reboot the PC do you still have the same issue? Is this a new purchase, or do you already have music etc on the device

Simply reinstalling iTunes may be the answer.
