cant get internet connection on 3g...

im confused. Im sitting in my house with 2 bars on 3g. My wifi is off so it doesnt pick up my network. I cant connect to the internet. I though 3g gave internet everywhere?? please help
 
Thanks for the link. Reset network settings and it didn't help. I'm going to call AT&T
