Bizzare. I tried to search around the internet to find out if this was real or not, but I didn't get anything.

This lebanese girl cries out and average of 7-8 crystals every day. I can't even fathom how this is possible.

According to some of the comments on youtube, they say it is a hoax. Saying the girl put glass shards in her eye and she was diagnosed with a psychological disorder.

lithiasis (http://medical.merriam-webster.com/medical/lithiasis)? I don't know how (or if) that could be applied to the eyes (which clearly work differently than kidneys) but it's what came to mind first.

<shrug>

I tend to think this is a hoax.

I call BS. That girl looks a little too exicted about showing off her "ability" for it to be real - in which case wouldn't it hurt like hell?

Stories like that have been around for decades and are a hoax. Pretty cool though. Probably not healthy for the eye.

I thought it was a hoax too, but you would think that snopes would be all over this one.

Wouldn't that rip apart the eyes?

Of course it's true. There's a video of it.

And they've taken the word 'gullible' out of the dictionary...

Maybe they think it's too obvious.

First: this video is supposedly from 1996. and is listed all over the 'miracle' websites. So that should tell you how real it is.

Two: Cystinosis can cause 'crystals' in the eyes but nothing like this.

Three: there are some cool phenomena that occur in the human body, I once saw a mammary tumor with dental enamel glob in the center.

was she a twin? she may have absorbed it in the womb, though it's really rare.

Ovarian dermoid cysts/teratomas don't form like that.

My sister had an ovarian cyst filled with teeth and hair. How many teeth? Full-size baby teeth? You'll have to explain that one...

Cannibalism in the womb?
Scary thought.

whoaaa that video is nuts. I wonder how much it hurts, but she didn't seem too phased by it. I dont know if thats possible or if she just lodged the thing in her eye socket... but thats still just nasty.
