I just got a 16GB iPhone 3G.

My coworker in the desk next to me has an original iPhone.

I have 2 bars.

She has 5.

When I turn 3G off, I have 3 bars, she still has 5.

I'm thinking this shouldn't be the case. Anyone else care to chime in?

Not sure, but I intend to find out. My wife and I both got 16GB iPhones on release day. I can set them side by side and hers always has more bars than mine.

A guy I work with had to have his replaced because of poor reception.

I would take it to an Apple Store if possible.
