Need to restore iPhone for development if 2.0?

The iPhone Developer User Guide mentions In the ‘Software Version’ drop-down menu, select ‘Other Version’ and navigate in Finder to the OS X iPhone 2.0 .ipsw file downloaded from the iPhone Dev Center. Click ‘Restore iPod’. Do we need to still do this if using the official 2.0 firmware from Apple? If so, where is the iPhone 2.0 .ipsw on the website? If not, do we still need to press "Restore iPhone"?
