Just when i was about going to sleep i was watching todays tv CNN news and bump with the phone interview with steve jobs, so for those who live in USA and saw the interview what you guys think about because i am shock some time i am glad i decided to buy an iphone after lines went down in about a week.
For those who are lost:
CNN interviewed today Steve Jobs because of the 1 million 3G iphones sold where he said although apple anticipated such a big demand they definitely confront minor issue but all was fine. also he mentioned they were also kinda busy because they were working on the new changed for the 3g iphone and working also on the announce of a new product. Although he didnt mention th eiphone when the anchor women asked what product, he just answered apple consumer fans will see the 24th of july and he wont give any more details. After she asking about anything that can help guess until the 24th he said he is so energetic on their greatest success with 1 million 3g sold apple will introduce in one month in an existing product line a product with a sustainsus space upgrade for the next new owners in august and their new network partners and also with a new price range in the newline.
I dont know you guys but but i am thinking about the 32 gb 3g iphone and i am shocked i cant wait tomorrow about what macrumors have stored for us or any news on this on the tv.

So that's a storage size increase, more networks and a price drop; one month after the 3G iPhone going on sale.
I just can't see it.

Yeah i am really in shock, about the networks if it is about the 3g i am guessing the next countries that are still waiting for the iphone like latin america or india and about price drop if it happens i guess the new 32gig will be 499 or with new contract $300 for the 32gb just guessing

there will certainly be a 32gig iphone - in the next few months.
which is one reason im holding off.
i was surprised it wasnt announced at the launch to be honest. touch
has been 32 gig for months.
hes probably talking about the new macbook pro range. which is overdue.
and / or introduction of blu ray drives etc

OP,
Did you just make the 32 gig stuff in a month up?
Your post does not allude to it all except from your fingers.
And if they do announce a 32 gig model, I am taking this one back.

Is there any link to the CNN interview at all?
The "message" sounds a bit confused and garbled.
Reading the OP it could be (about) anything… :o

the thread title said IN A MONTH.. so that would be august 24th.. which is a Sunday. Wouldn't make sense to throw out a new product 2 weeks after a launch.

July 24th is a Thursday. And I have been searching the net trying to find this interview and still haven't found it. An iPhone memory bump seems unlikely this early. I hope I am wrong because I am waiting on the 32gb to make my purchase.

Well since this CNN interview has not been picked up anywhere else — and I cannot imagine an interiew like this on a major network going unnoticed — especially if Jobs was purportedly speculating on new products!
For goodness sakes, the guy has a bowel movement and analysts jump all over it.
Perhaps it was an old interview? Perhaps the OP was having a pleasant err… damp dream? :D

People would go wild and crazy (protest) if apple bring out a 32GB so soon.

Looked all over the CNN site and found nothing about a recent interview with Jobs. I would imagine an interview like this to be a lot easier to find.
As a loyal iphone and apple user, I would be seriosuly annoyed if a 32GB model comes out within 4-6 months of me buying the 16GB model.
Hard to specualte as I really didn't follow the original post...

I just called with Steve:
There were issues with the production lines for the new iPhone.
Seems like the Chinese have produced a few million iPhones with
wrong specs. They were to produce the 5G iPhone but made instead a
few million iPhones based on an early prototype.
The real new iPhone makes use of a new type of networking which is
internally known as marshmallow over IP and allegedly has 64 GB of storage.
Shortly after Steve has revealed this info he hung up laughing very loud,
so I suppose he's very happy about all this.

No chance it is a 32 gig iPhone.
If that is the case they can expect a good bit of the 16 gig owners to take advantage of the 30 day return policy.

I still have my suspicions about the original post's pedigree. ;)
So quite frankly anything is fair game right now.

I think the OP may be a little confused, one of the few things Steve Jobs has recently said publicly is; "IPhone 3G had a stunning opening weekend," said Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive, in a statement.
I've checked up and down through CNN and the only interviews they pull up are older interviews with Steve, the most recent being March of 2008. Perhaps the OP was watching something tape delayed??? or being reaired?
Not to mention if he did make such an announcement about a product release, etc,etc at this time, the stock would surely have taken a hit and the latest news Apple stock holders are talking about is, A criminal probe of Apple Inc.'s co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs over stock options tampering is now over, but the potential legal shadow over him and the company isn't going away just yet..
